About Us

Our shachrit service [morning service] is essentially divided into two parts. The first part is liturgy, consisting of prayers and reading from the Torah; this time usually lasts approximately 1 hour.
The second part of our service is for studying. This is a time for in depth study and teaching of the Torah making connections with the Nazarene Codicil [New Testament]; this usually last approximately 3-4 hours. Our service times are 10 AM – 3:30 PM every Sabbath morning [Saturday].

Everyone is welcome to come to our services whether or not you are Jewish. You will find the people friendly, warm and knowledgeable in the word of G-d. Every visitor is assigned a helper to help him/her through the service step by step so that you’re not left trying to figure it out by yourself.
Our dress is tznius [modest] yet tasteful. We prefer that what is worn be respectful to G-d and in keeping with what you would deem appropriate if you were to going to meet an important dignitary, because we are in the presence of our Creator and King.

Men will be asked to wear a yarmulkah [skull cap] and married women are asked to cover their heads in a tasteful manner, whether it is a hat, scarf, or some other type of head covering. Single women/girls need not cover their heads. Men thirteen years of age or older are asked to wear a tallit [prayer shawl] during the prayer service, if you don’t have one, one will be provided for you.
Mikveh Yisrael Congregation consists of members that are serious about studying the word of G-d and applying it to their lives. The focusof our time together is on the study of G-d’s word and very little attention is given to entertainment. We do believe there is a time and place for singing and praise, but during our time together we focus mainly prayer and the study of Torah. Many congregations focus more on the “praise and worship”, but we like focusing on the learning of Torah, which we believe is the highest form of worship.
Within our congregation we have a mixture of conservative and orthodox believers. Because of this we think of ourselves as ‘Conservadoxy’.
Mikveh Yisrael is a close knit community and welcomes anyone who might want to be a part of our family. Although the things here sound as if we are strict, nothing could be further from the truth. We enjoy our service to HaShem and find it a pleasure to be obedient to Him. We love our Heavenly Father and our Redeemer Y’shua with all of our hearts and would love to have you join us as we grow closer to them through obedience and service. May HaKadosh Baruch Hu [The Holy One Blessed is He] bless and keep you as you search for His truth.
